The Medical Engineering Department has an opening for the position of Clinical Biomedical Engineer above grade 12. Since this provides an opportunity for PROMOTION from within, kindly circulate this information and/or post it in your area of jurisdiction so that those interested and having the minimum qualifications may apply.


I. Basic Functions:

Manage clinical/biomedical engineering functions as they relate to biomedical/laboratory/optical equipment technology administration, maintenance and clinical/research applications.
Duties to cover FAS/DTS/AUBMC and to include: handling laboratory and research equipment, liaising with outside servicing companies, new equipment installation, risk assessment, incident investigation.


II. Minimum Requirements:

. BS in Clinical or Biomedical Engineering or Medical Electronics or Electronic/ Electrical/ Communication Engineering. MS is preferred.
. 1-2 years of experience in the installation and repair of electronic medical laboratory & research technology within a hospital/university setup.
. Strong Command of Arabic and English (EEE score > 500 is preferable); Knowledge of German and French is a plus.
. Computer proficiency in commonly used software packages (Microsoft Office).
